For more than 50 years, Evonik EUDRAGIT® polymers have been controlling drug release from oral solid dosage forms. As coatings they direct the release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient, either in response to the pH value or time controlled, to the resorption area in the small intestine or to the colon. Furthermore they mask unpleasant tastes and odors and, if required, protect not only the active ingredient, but the stomach as well. The name EUDRAGIT® also stands for extensive service.
